Budget of £5k
Relatively cheapish to run
NOT a diesel - been there for about a year. Hate it. Must be proper fuel.
Must have room for mid-large size dog. He's a Rottie/GSD cross, so sort of small Lab size.
I'd like it to be reasonably good fun to drive.
Defintely needs to be a manual
No 'two cars' suggestions please - I've already got a car and two motorbikes to insure. Needs to be one vehicle.

In-laws helped pay for the car that's being sold to pay for double glazing... I don't really think it would be on to show up at theres with an ancient (albeit AWESOME) original 3-Series shape estate... or would it?

At the moment I'm thinking Subaru Legacy 2.0R estate and lazily toying with the idea of a WRX wagon. This may be a bit pricey on the insurance side of things.

Thoughts?

No probs. I remember those young days. Have just turned 30 and am loving £250 for my Forester 2.5XT. Started at circa £800 5 years ago
