Vladimir Putin decided to give the incorrigible urinating French actor a Russian passport.
G.Depardieu opposes the latest rise in taxes in France and has described Russia as a 'great democracy'.
The mind boggles.

A propaganda coup for Puttyface, I wonder who will be next, I haven't found the advert yet.

I also wonder where in Russia GD will be living, a top-notch gratis Moscow pad perhaps?

Bridgit Bardot. She had threatened to leave France and join him in Russia if the authorities in France put to sleep two Elephants that have tuberculosis and are considered a threat to humans and other animals. The French government were heard to have said "I thought she died years ago".

But more importantly, utterly corrupt and therefore a great place to be if you are on good terms with the President.

If he's given up his French passport/citizenship then he'll need a visa to come to Europe (Schengen)

I think his quote the other week was along the lines of "I've paid 145m Euros in tax, I think I've paid my fair share".

Fair play. Although I thought I had read the French had realised it was unconstitutional and it would be reversed?

Perhaps it was an elaborate trick to get rid of him.

No, it's a technicality that a household income and single incomes would be treated differently.

Actually that's exactly what the French Constitutional Committee said too. So Hollande is NOT allowed to have his 75% tax incorporated into law laugh

The French constitution does not permit taxation to the point where it become confiscation.

Socialists are now in damage limitation mode trying to think of a new way to screw the rich. Problem is that the 75% tax was a fundamental part of Hollande's campaign.
