Whilst doing some V12V Register "work" this afternoon from some newly found valuable information, I encountered a Eureka moment!

I can reveal the following information:-

The V12 Vantage Coupes are numbered from the series GS00001 upwards.

Any Roadsters that have been built are taken from this series but have a 2 after the S, ie GS2XXXX

Any Zagatos that have been built are also taken from this series and have a 3 after the S, ie GS3XXXX

I have confirmed that 2 of the V12V vins in the range 001-1000 are infact Zagatos - GS30946 & GS30951 and have identified a further 8 from 1000 - 1115.

And this also explains why the demo/press Roadsters have vins GS210XX and the customer cars are GS211XX or GS212XX as the Roadsters have taken the next available vins in the series 1000 upwards as and when they were being built!

Some other info:-

There is no V12V - 007 - I dont know why - perhaps this vin was used for a "secret" car!

V12V no.594 (USA car) is looking to have been written off after accident

There is a V12V no.666 -delivered to Vancouver, Canada

There are 6 Roadster demo/press cars in the series GS210XX

The white Roadster in the press photos is that of the UK Chairman/CEO

E&OE

I hope you find this useful and answers some of the uncertainty! biggrin

Thanks Phil that's very interesting. So what is the newest VIN you have recorded - i.e. the total build of V12V s built to date.

Hi Graham, the highest number V12V Coupe I have seen is 01245 which has landed in the USA.

And I'm assisting Alwin on here with his V12V Roadster Register which now has 97 cars on it with vin up to 21300.

And as mentioned above, there are at least 10 Zagatos within this vin range.

So presently there are approx 1300 V12V Coupes/Roadsters/Zagatos but final numbers of each is as yet unknown!

I updated my V12V Register topic in November with a colour breakdown at that time and I'm sure I saw on the Roadster topic a breakdown posted by Alwin?
