I have just upgraded from my V8V to a V12V and I have a few questions.

Is there any benefit in pulling fuse 22 for the exhaust bypass or is this just applicable to the V8 and DB9, or is the sport button opening the valves anyway.

I have the upgraded Aston radio option (not the B&O), can I have some ideas on the optimum audio settings.

Should I polish the carbon fibre with a good wax the same as the paintwork.

Are the Corsa tyre really a problem in winter with gentle driving.

I havn't driven it much yet as I'm still cleaning and tinkering, but the clutch and the extra torque makes reversing and low speed manouvering much better.

Hi, welcome to the V12 alternate universe!

Re the questions.

F22 - OH YES!
you won't want to listen to the radio smile
Polish the carbon
Corsa tyres are tricky in the cold, watch especially with the sport button engaged

I think you will find its fuse 15 on V12Vs. Definitely worth puling out until Bamford Rose service it and give you a switch. Sounds a lot better through full range of revs. Flip parcel shelf over to get more noise and if your like me, drive everywhere with window open. V12s sound epic.

Tyres are a bit slippery in cold, worse in cold and wet, wheel spinning in 4th is relatively easy with sports button on and a lead foot. But take it easy with sports button off and its not really a problem after 5 mins when tyres get a little temperature in. Others may think differently: suppose its how you feel about the back end twitching, personally I get a kick out of it, others maybe soil their seats.

I've just moved over to the V12 and had a new set of Pirelli Sottozero winter tyres fitted, which seem to work well.
Also had a pair of Quicksilver cats fitted and fuse 22 (or 15 on a V12) removed and it's a great sound without being too loud.

I drove mine daily through two winters. The only word that comes to mind is 'respect' . I came from a V8V and previously two Tuscans that were interesting in winter. I felt very safe in the V12V.

I did the AM PDC which I found fantastic for showing what this car can do. I would highly recommend it.

Feel the car and it won't let you down.

Good luck and enjoy.

I used to do the carbon wing on my Noble with 3-in-1 oil. Other's used baby oil or coconut oil. The noble CF use to go a bit cloudy and would get water mark on it as well, and the oil sorted it out.

Thanks to all you guys for the feedback.

Page 10.24 of the handbook states that fuse 22 is the exhaust bypass valve and vacuum pump, is this incorrect.

As I'm over in Northern ireland, it's unlikely I will be using BR on a regular basis, the costs associated with getting there would be prohibitive.

But, as I intend to keep this car for some time, I may have some of their upgrades in the future.

Congrats and welcome to the club!

Yes there is a benefit from pulling Fuse22/15 - its the same benefit as in the V8V.

I believe the fuse 15/22 depends upon the year of build, not V12V / V8V - Im sure Grant will be along to confirm the year it changed. Its on the forum somewhere so have a search. From memory I think its MY11 or newer.

Checkout the FAQ for the Premium Audio settings and then adjust slightly to your own taste. These were based upon my extensive tinkering with my first Vantage with Premium Audio but they seem to work well and lots of people here have heard an improvement too using them.

The Corsa Tyres are not a problem as such in winter but grip is substantially reduced below 9C but come summer you will see just how good they are. Drive very carefully on the cold days and you will be fine.

Hmmm, I don't think soil my seats , I get a share of petrol fuelled adrenalin but IMHO Wet and slippery public roads do not seem like a good place to get my kicks

I'd leave the fuse in personally and just take the parcel shelf out and fold into the boot floor recess.
There'll be times when you need to be discreet possibly lol!?
