Wilko Johnson :(
Discussion
Far and away my favourite guitarist since the passing of Mick Green. Seen him on so many occasions from '79 at Reading and at Essex University, to last year at Bury Apex. Met him twice when he was supported by my brother's band and my younger brother interviewed him last year for a music mag.
Quite capable of cranking out a standard R'n'B or Rock'n'Roll riff when required, his style (nicked from Mick) is instantly recognisable. Here he is on two of my favourite Wilko efforts. The first a great Dylan cover and the second a 2:55 Wilko gem.

I wish him well for whatever is in store for him.

Awful news, remember seeing Dr Feelgood at L'pool Stadium way back when. ( 1970's)
Lee Brilleaux went much too early as well.
Talking of whom, http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/shortcuts/2012/apr...Lee Brilleaux went much too early as well.

I'll gladly stump up a contribution for that, how about 4 300 foot high statues of the whole band?
