So had to book my Mum at very short notice to Geneva to visit her Sister who is very poorly (to put it mildly). Mum is mobile and fine walking short distances but struggles with anything over a five minute walk due to arthritis. Easy jet option ticked for assistance through the airport, but how does this manifest itself as she is already checked in? I assume go to the desk regardless and make yourself known and await a golf buggy? Any info appreciated.

Golf Buggy? I doubt one would fit in the terminal!

Chances are it'll be a porter with a wheelchair. If she's OK for short distances I expect she will be OK getting through to the runway unassisted if needs be, it's really not that far at all.

Thanks Dave, not knowing Bristol I wasn't sure how far it was, Geneva however is a different kettle of fish as despite being compact I know it's a fair old slog to the other end of the airport for the easy jet gates

Hang on, Bristol have a new extension don't they? Pretty sure the last time I came back through there it was about a mile walk back to the main terminal. Definitely get the buggy.

Good to know, thanks - I'll tell her to go to the desk and ask in that case. Cheers.

Last time I flew in there it was from the US, so it was a couple of years since I've been through there.

450m (500yds) is the longest distance to walk according to that, it'll probably be less. No buggy available according to the equipment list.

Cheers again dave - tried their website but missed that! Good to know as she should be able to manage that no problem.

If you think she needs assistance at either end I would reccomend you call the airline and book it. She'll get a wheelchair & porter, & will be asked if she can manage the steps to the aircraft. (if not they will raise her on a platform)
It's a little irrelevant if she doesn't need the help at Bristol, book it if she does at the other end.

I've used this sort of assistance over the past few years, both domestic & international. It is very worthwhile if you think she will struggle at all. By booking it in advance it will be on the system and all the staff will be ready to help her.
