New (to me) Tuna arrived yesterday. SBBN007 with SKX007 bezel insert, red tipped second hand and sapphire domed crystal.

I umm'ed and ahh'd over that for a while and concluded I preferred an unmodified one. Not so sure now, it looks great, exactly half way between a Tuna and an MM300!

You certainly have the ability to continually surprise, that's for sure!

Can I request a comparison 'twixt that, the Doxa and your Steinhart? Would be an interesting comparison, eh?

Nice - been pondering one for a while, but not easy to get hold of. Shout when you feel the need to move that on wink

I love it. Saphire crystal is always a good mod on a Tuna I reckon but i'm not sure whether to put the standard silver bezel back on it or not. I've got a WJean Super Oyster bracelet on the way so I'm going to wait until that's on before deciding. I think I'll probably keep the back one on to break up all the steel though.

The red tipped second hand is great but there's an unused regular white version in the box if I get fed up with it smile

There's been many occasion I've come close to trying a Tuna, and everyone has to give a Monster a whirl.

Which Doxa, the Vintage 300 or the modern 1200T? I assume the modern one..? The Steinhart is being traded for the Seiko. A beautiful watch that never got worn sadly.

The 1200T is resplendent on orange rubber at the moment so a good comparison at I guess 4 times the price? Makes you wonder doesn't it...

Give one a go mate. On the grand scale of things they aren't mega money and they are easy to shift on if you don't like them. Agree on the Monster. Looking at Yeti's new one I may have to get another smile

Just been given this as part of my kit issue at work:

Looks and feels very much like a rebranded G-Shock - not usually a fan of digital faces (much prefer a proper clock face) but I find this one very easy and clear to read.

Picked up today, meant to be as stock, but I just can't decide whether to treat myself to it or not. One of the rarer of the Dirty Dozen:

One nice little detail, it came complete with the receipt from when it was sold as surplus in 1963, and the cheque that was used to pay for it!

Having both a UX and an MM300 I'd find it difficult to justify a Tuna, however I still feel that it's more a case of when and not if yes As you say, dead easy to pass on should the need be.

I think you know the answer to that one.
