Kemmner, I believe.
Indeed. Kemmner 1550 Military Chronograph - an hommage to a classic Heuer Bunderwehr.

love that, looks like it came from a 1960's aircraft instrument panel

New (to me) O&W via eBay, received earlier today, believe that it's circa 2000.

Dirt aside it looks better in the metal than it did online. Seems to be running ok but needs a good clean, polish & a new crown - anyone got a recommendation for someone who could look at this?

Plan's put it on a darkish leather to replace the jubilee.

you went with the D-blue, looks pretty good! I notice that Rolex have inexplicably put the word "DEEPSEA" below the centre of the dial rather than above as on the blackface edition. Tiny difference, wonder why they bothered! Are you used to the size and weight now?

It has a quality heft. Feels heavy in the hand, but it has never felt uncomfortably so on the wrist. The 'in-situ' buckle adjuster is useful for me as I evidently change size like a puffer fish over the course of the day.

"Ring Lock System"? Wassat? Sounds like something that Oscar Pistorius would be keen to invest in.
