Is there going to be a build thread or is there one already that i've missed?
XGT isn't building it himself, it's a typical photo that the maker sends to show the buyer that theirs is being assembled.
In other words, it's a cryptic clue that he's bought himself a Dornbluth.

Picture quality isn't great but will give you an idea. Regulator, silver dial, blued hands.
First pick for any special occasions.. such as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday ... smile

Yesterday was our 10th wedding anniversary so I designed and had Eddie (ecain63) make an eternity ring for me to give to my wife (thanks again Eddie - she was suitably impressed smile )

However - I was obsolutely not expecting what I saw when I opened the box she had given me. I don't really have a dress watch to wear for special more formal occasions so she bought me something she liked and hoped I would too. To say I liked it was an understatement (and apologies for the shoddy iPhone picture with lots of reflection)

Been looking at Nomos watches for a while and took the plunge when in the centre of London today.

I've wanted a watch with a clean and simple design for a while and it fits the bill perfectly. It's about a quarter of the weight of my Longines Grand Vitesse and a 3rd of the depth so it feels like i am not wearing a watch!

She sounds like a keeper!

I'm sure I'm not the only PHer who will leave this post up on the screen of their computer for the wife to 'accidentally' find.

Called the "Gondolo" - made originally for a famous Brazilian jewellers. A beautiful piece in white gold with manual wind.

Sweet! Just waiting for my 99.0 to arrive from Dirk although I tried to email them yesterday and they seem to have closed down for holidays. Oh well, should be here by end of May. Have waited for over a year now so a few more days can't hurt! Nice watch you have there fella!

Thanks Johnniem. I can imagine you are looking forward to the new arrival, mine was just over a year also. Went to visit Dirk part way through the wait and handled a few different models, they are all rather special.
What spec have you gone for?

Not my incoming but one for the better half, it's her birthday today and she recently dropped hints about this one. The dial looks a lot better than my Q&D 'photo makes out!

Great service from creation again; ordered Sunday night and it was delivered Wednesday morning from Singapore smile

I might consider getting one of those as a modern alternative to a vintage Heuer/similar

New daily wearer for me. Have always liked them but for one reason or another I'd never purchased one. Currently on Sinn rubber whilst waiting for a bracelet link to arrive.
