One of the few non-Rolex dives that I've seen recently on here that I do like; very nice indeed!
Thanks. The photo isn't the best but it does look nice on. It's my only vintage watch in a small but growing collection so I just hope it gets enough wrist time. I have another watch coming on Monday which I was only going to use for travelling but I can see that becoming another daily alternative.Yes, and err sold it!
It's a very nice watch though. The finishing on the case and crown is excellent, amongst the best I've had. It isn't a big watch either which surprised me. I think it's only 42mm across the bezel although most reviews seem to quote 44mm. That must be across the base of the case maybe as it really doesn't wear that big. It's very comfortable.
The dial is OK and the funky logos aren't intrusive once you stop looking at them. Applied markers would have been nice though as the dial is quite large but lacking in a bit of detail I suppose. The crystal is a lovely, thick dome but does't have an AR coating unfortunately so the dial can look a little washed out with all the reflections. The hands are a wee bit too skinny but I like the style.
I would have kept it longer, probably a while actually, but a cheap (ish) Clio 182 Trophy popped up for sale the other day and the funds have gone towards that. This is PH and not TZ-UK after all!

Just arrived and unpacked. One of the watches I have pre-ordered via Kickstarter.
Not bad at all for $230.

I know allot of you are not lovers of the Hublot range, however I am happy with my new purchase.
Build quality is great, with some stunning machined parts and different materials.
I can see myself getting addicted to watches after this purchase....!

Good for you. I can't say I'm a fan of their whole range, but been thinking long and hard about a King Power 48mm Unico GMT or the 692 Bang New York next!Build quality is great, with some stunning machine parts.

But, have also become heavily side-tracked by the Linde Werdelin Spidolite range...so we will see. What's swinging it for me is that LW is even rarer, and personally I think they have better straps. But it's not a matter of life or death
There's a lot of tut spoken about Hublot. But their target market tends to be different from the average British high-street dweller, who'll spend the weekend mentally meandering between a Rolex or an Omega.
As much as I like Villerets and Patrimonys, the world of watches would be awful dull if all design was confined to diver models going head-to-head with Submariners, or just finding another way to rehouse a Valjoux 7750 for yet another chronograph to flood the market.
Hublot do the lead the way in mashing the technologies for their watches: to see ceramic, titanium and carbon fibre all in one wrist-wrapping bundle is always a joy. Would you wear a Hublot LA Lakers King Power or an RM 60-01 to a funeral? No, of course not.
But on the weekend, doing whatever you do, the splash of colour and pizzaz these type of watches offer compared to yet another "cookie cutter" stainless steel bracelet and three hands...well, life is for living!
Enjoy!
