Just getting on to Episode 3 of Season 3 and absolutely hooked again. It's certainly not going to take the whole month of my Netflix free trial to get through this season!

However, just what is going on with that syringe?

Done 1 & 2, the rest will have to wait for the weekend.

Just the right amount I feel, 2 hours an evening.

Done the 1st 3 - that's it for today. Ep 3 was excellent. The guy who played the Russian President was very very good.

Only watched the first 3.

Is it just me or has Frank completely lost it? He seems totally out of his depth now in comparison to the first two seasons.

two choices for a series

a) make him awesome in which case its all super and nothing happens
b) start with him in a deep hole and let him spend the series doing what he does best as the Machiavellian superstar that he is.

Which one do you think would make the best TV?

just finished series, not as good as previous ones felt a bit too deep and not enough Frank on top, the season seems to overwhelm him, and fishes too soon. the stories are too stretched, goes on too long but at least whets appetite for season 4, if made.

Noticed this was available last night so thought I'd watch the first episode before bed. Next thing I was hooked again and had got through the first three episodes. Going to be a tricky one to comment on regarding spoliers as there is no broadcast pace for it as such - I notice from the comments above some have watched 3 like me and others have gobbled up the whole lot.

I think I'll try and eke it out to just a couple of eps per day.

I've watched the first 7 now. I'm struggling to enjoy it to be honest, the only scenes that interest me involve involve Doug. Very little frank is doing interests me now.

Wish I had taken my time with this - didn't really enjoy the series tbh.

It's still worth watching slowly if there is nothing else to watch but I wouldn't say it's 'essential viewing' anymore. Others may see it differently I suppose.

By far the weakest series... Just did a binge watch over the last few days.

Don't want to give spoilers away but I didn't think any of the stories really got going ant they seemed to jump and miss massive parts of the story.

Based on this series not so excited to watch the next one.

At least some other good things to get into...

Better Call Saul
Bosch
New season of black sails
New season of Vikings

I don't know if binge viewing reduces the impact and attraction. I am 5 episodes in and still waiting for it to step up a gear. I have chuckled twice at it whereas the earlier series I was always laughing and what a b'stad he is.

Still, much better watching than The Walking Dead which I really need to remove from series link.

Enjoying this a lot, interesting to see Frank on the back foot, I think we're on Ep3 or Ep4.

Watched up to Ep10 or 11 now. I guess I would have to agree that this series is weaker than the previous two, but I think that comes naturally due to the position Frank is in now.

Seasons 1 and 2 were mostly about Clare and Frank working together to manipulate people and situations around them in order to achieve a single goal they were focused on - mainly the Presidency. Now they're mostly working apart on separate goals and they're no longer setting the agenda or creating their own situations - they're now just reacting to all the things happening around them.

I actually think this season has been great for capturing what I imagine is quite an accurate portrayal of what it must be like as the President and First Lady.

However, I didn't enjoy Episode 10 - where Frank goes to meet Petrov in the Jordanian Valley. I thought it was completely out of character, everyone could see the trip was going to back fire and if Frank was happy to stop the peach keeping mission, that could have all been done over the phone! I think it was one of the least thought out episodes of the series so far.
