Hi All,

I've made it easier to get to the TVR movies than ever before. Thanks to the fantastic invention that is ADSL you can now FTP to my PC and collect them directly...!

There's also a folder in there where you can upload TVR or speed related movies for inclusion on the server - be generous...!!!

Please let me know what you think of the whole thing and what you'd like to see...

Open Internet Explorer or FTP program and go to ftp://barnaby.fastasfunk.co.uk

User ID : tvr
Pass : movies

If you're logging in through IE, it will crap out and you'll need to do 'file' - 'login as' with the User ID and Pass.

Cheers,

Roop

I've uploaded manic.mpg and manic.rm, movies of Alex's burn-out. Only problem, could not upload using Crystal or Leap FTP, had to resort to DOS. My Linux (mandrake 8.1) machine is also OK.

You may find this useful: www.eo-video.com/

Have a look at www.taner.net.

There is a link to some cool car movies, including a load of Top Gear stuff. The tiffiny dell Tuscan review is there.
There is also (a huge) lap of nurbergring in the yellow ruf porsche. amazing

Hey ADSL is so cool, I have been using it for about a year & a bit now with no problems, sure could not go back to a modem.

BTW: I cannot get into your site it comes up with the following:

Windows cannot access this folder. MAke sure you typed the name correctly and have permissions fr this folder.

Any ideas?

David

Thanks for the replies guys - the server got overwhelmed and crashed...! Restarted now.

Brian - ta for the vid - much appreciated...!

Sparks - the 2 RUF Porsche videos are in my misc file along with a few other cool ones - see anthea.mpeg - not car related but hilarious as anthea turner gets literally blown up...!

David, I think you were perhaps connecting anonymously where there's actually a User ID and pass required. Try copying this link with the User ID and Pass already added...:

when it says this, select 'file' - 'login as' with the User ID and Pass.

OK, will set the downloads going overnight, but...
(sorry if I can't talk about this Ted, I know some messageboards don't like people talking about peer to peer sharing programmes, eg Napster, Morpheus, Kazaa, etc)

Would you let me share them in Kazaa? I haven't seen the vids as I'm writing this, but are they amateur or recorded from TV? Shall I put whoever's site i got them off as the author?

If anyone does NOT want me to share them, then please send me an e-mail (hopefully via profile) and I won't put them as shared, simple as that. I'll also wait a few days before sharing them to give time to reply, as I'm generally a nice person and really DON'T want to annoy anyone.

If anyone here does use Kazaa and starts downloading S-L-O-W-L-Y from funkynige@kazaa, then send an instant message via Kazaa saying you're from PistonHeads and i'll increase the bandwidth (it's normally limited as there are four of us using the same connection), but don't expect an instant response as I'm not at my computer 24/7.

Again, sorry Ted if discussing Peer to Peer programmes are against PistonHeads rules (ie copyright, etc.), I have seen it discusesd before, but not in as much depth.
