Is anyone going to the BTCC at Donington this Sunday? Auto Express have a 2 for £15 voucher which makes it a good deal in my book. Add to that the final 3 rounds of the BTCC and the BTCC Masters race where all the old BTCC champions are racing in identical SEAT's, it should be a good (if cold, knowing Donington) day!

Contacted Donington today to try and reserve some hard standing parking for a few Vipers in anticipation, but they cannot do this, although have suggested getting there early to get in the main car park

I'm probably going - any other Vipers?

park within the circuit, then you can watch the race and keep one eye on the viper, or watch the race from inside your car if its raining

Doubt we'd be able to park within the circuit on a BTCC day?

dont know why not, there is a parking area in the middle of the track (clockwise, just past the spitfires)on the the grass, they allow parking inside at the FIA GT's which has got to bigger than the touring cars ?
Venom got his viper in that area a number of times, no doubt a few bumps to go over

In that case I might try that then. However, I would have thought the BTCC is a LOT bigger than GT although I haven't been for a few years. You coming?

FIA GT's is big, I read its the 2nd biggest spectator motor race outside Silverstone F1, it had 9 vipers entered (2 years ago ?)when a few of us went, aahh the good old days (not talking about the British GT series)

Donnington is on my doorstep, but I wont be going, other plans

Viper parking should be fine as the infield has many, many parking areas and is ok for ground clearance, just don,t park on the grassy slopes if its wet! or you might be staying a bit longer than planned!
