Another good episode showing it as it is (I'm guessing at that) no medic this week shame as she made the last couple of episodes for me. Bird doing the girly thing, Rocket brilliant as ever.......
Finding this series (so far) concentrating more on the camp life and the consequences of others (bellends) actions, the one liners aren't as prolific as before as with Nick IMO.....
What's the first rule.....don't get rid of Nick.......
Carry on....

Agreed, saved by the colonel and the medic
The Lt.Col. is the best character on the show.

Question - how did the "Taliban" manage to walk in through a door to the compound last night or is that "TV" dumbing down

After the RPG hit, four of them made it to the gate where a ANA bod let them in, he got shot soon afterwards.

I think it was Simon's wrong wrongun that shot him. I liked the exchange of cultural literarature at the end.

Loved the orange powder gags - I remember mixing some up when working in Submarine engine room; someone spilled it and discovered it had stripped every last piece of accumulated dirt, grease and kack off the deck plates....... it made us wonder what it was doing to our insides.

Kinda felt sorry for the new ATO last night, even though she sets herself up for dislike [box ticked!] I feel she needs to be this over jolly person, and doesn't quite know how to not be annoying with it. But the team are also coming round to her.
I agree the C/O is by far the best character, perhaps because he isn't used so much?
Roll on next week, see what happens about the shopping

Tony Gardener who plays the colonel, I've always rated him since I first saw him on My parents are Aliens (kids TV show) he just has this odd comic timing thing.

About the book burning, "the Taliban are just a tiny bit MASSIVELY f@cked off" - fantastic delivery of that line.

I caught up with the last two episodes last night and think Nick's absence has let the Colonel take over the best role. New ATO doesn't strike you as a seasoned veteran of a war zone supposedly on an extended second tour.

I think she is pretending to be all girly to hide the fact that she is a tad fked in the head, who seriously would think to put a head in a fridge in order to get it back...

I think as her character develops we may see her do some really dark & weird stuff.

Sounds like a normal member of the Army - Wonder if she'd be up for a game of freckles then?

I did guffaw when it was mentioned in the first series.
