Looks like the weather will be good for the 1st Griffins Head event on Wednesday.

They seem to have a huge marquee up in the field and I understand its going to stay there all year so space might be a bit limited when it gets busy.

Only 30 min away for me but never new this was on. Im overseas with work this month but planning to get to the second one in June.

What time does this usually kick off? I guess its advisable to book a table if you want food while your there?

I got there between 1830 and 1900 and it was almost full then

They had a barbecue or something in the beer tent outside as well as the food in the pub

I got there a little later and it pretty much was full....but a quarter of the cars in the field were just run of the mill hatchbacks and daily sheds.
I remember this meet from the very beginning and it was originally just 'classics & sports' now its attracting a wider audience and its losing its appeal, unless they start putting some sort of 'quality control' on the gate I'm going to give it a miss.

I guess it must be difficult especially when they are trying to run a business also. These meets must bring in a fair bit of revenue so having someone saying your car isnt good enough might rub people up the wrong way. Its like the landlord only letting attractive girls in the pub
