The Z06 is Back :)
Discussion
Picked up the beast last night
It now does what it says on the tin!
It will need a little tweeking here and there, but it now has all the fuel it needs and it doesn't stall. It is feckin' fast, not sure how fast as one of the things I need to get sorted is getting the dash working. It doesn't work as a result of the conversion to a Motec ECU, as the GM ECU sends a digital stream to the dash rather than the dash talking direct to each of the sensors. So at the moment I have no Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Speedo and the biggest p.i.t.a. is NO Fuel Gauge. I have Revs, Battery, Fuel Pressure and most importantly Boost Gauges Car runs up to about 8lbs of boost at the moment, althought to be honest constantly checking the boost gauge is the last thing you have time for when the car is on boost
The hi-rise bonnet is fitted which looks good so I won't be buying any more bits for the car for a while as my priority now is to get my new house sorted.
The car will be on display at the NEC for the 22-24th of October at the Classic and Sportscar Show on the CCCUK stand. Hope to see lots of you there!

Fantastic Nigel.
Look forward to seeing it next week at Fairmile. Its been a long and complex job but sounds like you have an awsome motor in the making. One the dash is sorted then at least you will know how much faster than the speed limit you are travelling at and how quickly the fuel is being sucked in and spat out

There's a C5 TT 427 with Nitros in October's Vete mag - have you seen it? I'll bring the mag on Tuesday. That makes 784 ft-lb and 1,100hp @ 6000rpm....Thats without nitrous! They say top speed is around 250mph.
Good news that you have got it back. I hope sorted those gadjet problems wont be too much of a headache to sort out.

Have fun with the car. Gotta get it down the strip IMHO.
From cross-matching your description and from reading this (now few months old) article, you mean this car:

I spoke to someone who's seen this car in person actually over aim.
I made a thread about this car, somewhere on here...

www.powerstation.org.uk/rollingroad.asp
this place is now on your doorstep, they do Motec to which might be handy, but only a 720bhp rolling road, Nad and I went there a few years ago

Have you considered G-Froce in Aylesbury. They have an excellent setup.

i will second that, gforce has a good set up , watch there wide band as not convinced it 100% but it would pay you to get your own wide band and leave it in at all times.got ours from

Agreed.. Your motec can do closed loop wideband control, using an external meter if you purchased the advanced tuning extras.
Or for a few more £££, it can control a wideband directly from the motec for closed loop fuel control.
