Legacy 3.0 RN tax band

Does anyone have the definitive answer on this? Parkers say the tax band is K. Autotrader cars show band L. There is quite a difference between the two. This is for the Legacy 3.0 RN auto, not the Spec B.

Depends what year the car is

^^^^^ This. Pre March 2006 ish it was the lower band - mine is an 05 car and is 230 ish pa.

OK I was looking at a 2004 car on autotrader and the ad said band L - they must have made a mistake.

2004 car will be the highest pre 06 band, which is presently 260 i think

It is band L, but for cars registered before 23 March 2006, tax will be the same as for band K. So a 3.0R registered before 23/03/06, annual tax will be 270 quid, after 23/03/06 it will be 470(ish) quid.

Our Spec B was registered on the 28/03/06. 5 days too late, unlucky!

And the tax is due at the end of this month.
