Good morning all, as title I'm off to the Abu Dhabi GP this year and am looking to book a flight soon for it.

Who would you recommend ? I'm leaning towards emirates for some reason, I'm an economy flyer (well the economy extra/plus/comfort)

Flying out morning for Wednesday 30th October and returning on the 4/5th November.

Thanks in advance.

Well for direct flights you're limited to Etihad and BA. I'd certainly be giving Etihad a chance.

You've got the option of Abu Dhabi or Dubai airport, and the latter is just as good as its an easy drive away. Last year we actually stayed in Dubai and drove to the race track as there are vastly more accommodation options and are cheaper for it. Its actually almost as quick to get to the race from dubai than it is downtown abu dhabi due to the traffic to the latter.

Either way I would travel BA.

I should have mentioned my father lives in Dubai so that's where I'd want to fly to ideally

Emirates on A380 would be my choice.

How much would it cost to travel from Dubai to the track by Taxi?

How long would it take?

Staying in Dubai seems like the cheaper option

Bit late know but I have flown to Dubai with Royal Brunei twice now. Usually cheaper than Emirates, Virgin or BA.

I flew with Emirates last week to Dubai, upstairs in the A380. Brilliant experience.

Did you not find the seats really cramped? There isn't really much space to move in Emirates J class.

I'll agree they're not as wide as some business seats but I wouldn't say it's cramped.... the bar was bigger than I anticipated. Easily enough room for 15 people.

Second that, went out on the 9th with wife and kids, best flight I have ever had.

Sad thing was coming back the flight was full so had to suffer a little.

My folks fly out with them to visit me every year.

The deal is that whilst they do not carry booze on their flights, you're free to open your duty free purchases and they will provide the glass, ice and mixer.
This has never worried my parents as they're teetotal but I understand that for some it could be an issue.

BAs would be near the bottom for me, it'd even be a tough choice between them and getting a piggy back from a mouldy tramp.
