Does anyone know how the sizing compares to Shoei Helmets? I'm a large in a Shoei, and cannot get myself into a shop to try on a Bell helmet.
Same for for me L in Shoei and L in Bell

Ditto. Difference wise, my Shoei is slightly tighter on my forehead and the Bell on my crown. Not much in it though.

I'm an XL in HJC, Bell and I did try on a mates Shoei GT air in L and it did fit. So for my head I would say the Bell comes up slightly smaller.

The new Italian Bell M5X, in XL feels quite snug on me, but I'm sure it will loosen up a bit.

The Shoei I tried on was used in a Large and did fit, but haven't tried an XL in a Shoei as local to me there are no shops that sell decent lids

The full black one, which looks just as awesome IMO is £196.71.

I could buy one of all of these, as they look incredible and are amazingly priced.

I cannot comprehend why people are humming and hawing over these. Where else can you get a premium helmet for under a 100 or a carbon for under 200

No humming or hawing here smile Bought the carbon black/matt white, hopefully rocking up on Tuesday, to replace my Arai Mick Doohan that rolled along the tarmac along with me. Just need a new bike to go with it (this should probably go in the frivolous purchase thread in GG) wink

Both mine have arrived now. Both in size L and both fit a treat. Same size as the Shoeis I've had over the past few years.

Just ordered the black carbon in size L.

Will post on here what it's like when it arrives, but judging by the comments here it'll be all good!

Got my replacement helmet and thw weave is better so going to keep this one and send the other back. Will see what the J&S visor is like on when it turns up, can imagine I'll just be leaving that one on and avoid night riding!

Do you need it fitting? I've never fitted one of these in my life. Having said that it looks pretty simple if you want to, there are holes for the plastic bit to clip into.

Aesthetic? You never see anyone wearing one of the nose covers unless it's wet. It's like saying cars only look good with the windscreen wipers going so you use them all the time whether wet or dry confused

It's to direct your breath away in cold and wet conditions to try to prevent misting. In warm, or dry conditions, it's an unnecessary distraction to your eyeline. If it was needed then it'd be worn all the time. Have a look at the next batch of races and / or road riders you see. No racers and few road riders will wear one unless cold / wet.

In bold. Would you like me to post photos of my helmets to prove it. There is no reason to wear a nose clip at all unless cold or wet.

I'm extremely well endowed in the nose department for that reason I use it all times. As I'm too lazy to take it out and don't notice it.

bd. I can't get my foggy to stick to my bell. The plan was one for dry and one for wet on trackdays

The foggy won't fit as the padding inside is made of a fabric that the Velcro won't stick to
