That breath guard is removable. It just has clips that sort of push into a space between the lining and the shell. You can have it in or remove it. I only have it in cos I think it looks a bit better so you can't see up my hooter.

The new carbon shell did not come with one.

Confirm I got a breath guard with both helmets, so you should have it.

Toxic - well the other helmet has similar "waves" in similar locations, so probably just part of the manufacturing process.

In theory I should get away without my foggy the anti fog is brilliant on these. One dry and one wet for the track. I hate riding in rain with a dark visor.

6
One for the garage when I need to test the bikes round the block
My hizzy lid god rest it's soul for karting
My Arai for riding in the rain on the road
My nolan for special occasions And dry riding
And one wet and one dry in bell for the track.

I'm struggling to justify a 7th to the o/h

Only crashed one is my hizzy lid as I can't part with it after all I went through.

I dunno what does it matter.

Just seems weird to me that you love a bargain so much, but you have bought 6 helmets. You can only wear one at a time, wouldn't you be better buying 1 or 2 st hot too of the range helmets than multiple st ones???

I replied to your email mckeann, not sure if you got it or not. Yours went to my junk folder so check there if you haven't seen it.

MTB do you have a clear favourite to wear? I've tried loads of helmets and tend to find certain brands way more comfortable than others. I can't get on with any of the full shark range for example so it must be a bit of a lottery when you order all these helmets.

I got an AGV when I passed my test. It's past its best so just as a garage lid

I bought an Arai believing the hype. It's st. Heavy, visors crap but it is sound proof so good for motorways.

I bought a bell because it was cheap. But it's a top of the range one. It's the best helmet out of all them.

I bought another one at 90 for this reason. Ill no doubt crash within the next 12 months so handy to have at that price.

I bought the nolan cause I got it for under 300 quid and I've wanted it for ages. The hizzy lid well that was a one off and meant to be perfect it was st.

You only ride on track. I do road as well and a fair bit of miles. It was pissing it down on Sunday for most of it but I still stayed out.

I could buy a few decent expensive lids. But I'd sooner buy two cheap very good helmets for the track that I can fling in the bin if I hit my head knowing I only had to stay a few hours on a Friday to pay for them

Bells arent cheap st. Far better than Arai, better in ways that your x lite 90 for a helmet like that is a fking bargain

The bells fantastic to be honest probably the best then the nolan.

The Arai and AGV are st.

I'd get a Shoei but never seen a design I like.

Brand is no guarantee of helmet fit, as manufacturers try to have helmets in their range with different types of fit, so they have something they can sell you

this is probably the best site ive found for helmet reviews as they compare the shape of the liner...its a good start to understanding if something is going to fit like the helmet you already have

still no substitute for trying on though....

Bell Carbon M5X turned up today, looked great, really light, but sadly couldn't even get on my head! So sending it back for a bigger size. It's a large, the same size as my shoei XR1100, so just a heads up (no pun intended) that you might need a size bigger than usual if you have a "Shoei head" like mine....

Stop bumping these. If I think about it anymore I'll end up getting a carbon lid and having to justify it to mckeann
