No pictures, but my usual place is the best takeaway in town, except for tonight frown

It was very bland, almost supermarket like, my first blowout for quite some weeks and it was a major disappointment.

So, Alpen bar and banana for breakfast, lost 6KG recently in preparation for my wedding, then I had this for lunch;

Feeling good so far, natural frozen greek yoghurt with granola blueberries and raspberries, lovely it was too. So far so good.

Then this happened;

That's half of it with the chapati and chips. Second half has just been demolished with rice, a chilli naan and the poppadum and chutney tray.

Dammit.

Granola isn't anywhere near as healthy as some may have you believe so don't feel bad about the bab!

It would appear there have been a couple of posts suggesting that when you post your large meals that they are not actually just for you as they are being portrayed but for more than one person.

Anyone from Preston? This may fit the bill for the purposes of the thread:

I get that but I don't understand the point or sentiment behind the comment. What it is they hope to achieve by the comments?

My response would be I have a very good resturant at work so don't tend to cook/eat in the evening. I don't need to when I have a full roast dinner/curry/Italian etc at work at lunchtime, we had a guest chef in today doing sushi. On Friday's I tend to have the half chicken and chips and add a bowl of salad. Saturdays I don't tend to do the breakfast, lunch and dinner thing and just have one big meal. So I go from 2pm Friday to 7pm Saturday, you can imagine ill be a bit peckish after not eating for over 24 hours.

Ill admit that sometimes I don't eat every last grain of rice and lick the plate clean. The thread is "Dirty takeaway pictures" kind of like Man V's Food, sometimes man wins sometimes food does.

Mine was just a joke, perhaps I should have left one of these as punctuation wink

To be fair, I said it as a joke in another thread, as banter, totally unrelated to food, but Cotty enjoyed the comment so much I've kept it up and I will continue to do so.

Sorry my fault entirely. I often misinterpret banter as someone having a dig at me rather than the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks that they are supposed to be.

Unfortunately as I lost my sense of humour a while back I find it difficult to differentiate between the two. But please continue and I will accept your comments in the spirit you intend them.
