Desi chicken curry, lamb karai, ghobi bhaji, chilli garlic naan, chips and pilau. It may not look like much but that has to be in
My top two curries of all time. Spiced, hot, salty, savoury, moist meat, fresh herbs. Very good indeed.

Mini spring rolls
Prawn toast
Salt and chilli chips (ultimate dirt)
Chicken chow mein
Sweet and sour chicken in batter
Boiled rice

Only just about knocked an Ouseburn pub crawl hangover over.

Pretty decent, nice wide opening for bagels etc. but it's strictly a 2 slice job. I think we'll get a 4 slice Dualit if it breaks, although that would mean replacing the matching kettle too.

There's something daring about mixing small appliances. Just like having a Marantz amp and Technics CD player back in the nineties.

I have a Neff hob and Gorenje ovens. No twitching to report.

The rapidly declining McDonalds really seem to be clutching at straws now their profits are slipping, I can't really see this helping them at all - if you want table service and a wait you go to a decent restaurant, if you want speed, convenience and something that's on a shelf waiting then you lower your standards and go to the golden arches.

What they don't seem to "get" is that their food is crap (double sausage McMuffin with added hash brown aside).

Exactly that. They need to roll out the build your own burger thing everywhere and improve things like the tomato ketchup now that they cant use heinz etc and be more creative in their specials burgers rather than rolling out the big tasty all the time.

I don't think its that bad an idea. Nothing worse than standing in the queue for 5minutes, getting you tray of food and having to look around for a table. Especially so in central london McDs such as oxford street, you end up having to eat on a table that's still got some other idiots food they didn't remove.

when it comes to McDs/BK I'm fine having to wait 3-4 minutes for a fresh burger. a restaurant will have you waiting 15-20minutes for the meal and 5minutes for a drink!

McDonald's is very profitable in the UK, it's only really the US that's been in decline but now improving since a new CEO has taken over.

A sad reflection on the lack of available alternatives or lower standards of the public compared with the US?

Why don't McD's combine the best of both?

Go straight to a table, order & pay via a built in tablet & then it gets delivered?

You can then surf/play games on the tablet whilst you wait?

Overall I think McD's is excellent for what it is - you know exactly what you are getting, how much it will cost, something for everyone, toilets are spotless (usually) and the quality/consistency is the same - Globally.

What's not to like when you're in a rush/hassled by the kids/travelling etc?
