I'm confident of good weather this year after a mixed bag last year and the past seven years (2007 excluded as it was a monsoon)

According to one website I found, it sounds promising....

Quote "June could once again prove a month of two halves, with the first half likely to continue on from the end of May rather settled with temperatures perhaps just above average as a ridge of high pressure moves in from the South. As the month progresses, however, a return to more unsettled conditions with cooler temperatures is expected, though rainfall overall through June may end up slightly below average"

So there we have it.

I meant to post this kind of thread up the other week. Last year there was a meteorological chap (wasn't he working with Audi?) posted up for a lift home or something - wonder if anyone knows who that is and whether there's any thoughts on the broad weather possibilities this year.

However; prepare - as Jason Statham says: "It always rains at Le Mans" (the wife didn't appreciate me repeating the start of Truth in 24 when it was peeing it down on Saturday morning laugh)

In my mind with still over 50 days to go it will be warm and dry no thoughts about anything else are allowed to cross my mind

If it helps, it is 8degC, windy and wet today.

I have very little confidence in any weather prediction beyond about 2 days at the moment.

LOL, wondered how long it would be before we had this thread running.

I too am hoping for long sunny days, temps in the mid-20's and great racing.

Went to the 'Ring in 2010, and remember posting/writing to a mate "it'll be central Europe in mid-August, what else can we expect other than good weather?" Needless to say it p***ed down from Friday through to Monday morning!

It is impossible to predict the weather with sort of a certainty longer than 5 days upfront. So this thread is a little silly! And therefore I will be posting in it a lot! smile

Wasn't 2005 'Death Valley Revisited'? IIRC it was far too hot for my liking.

Absolutely agree. laugh

I'm fully expecting it to get dark in the evenings as well, darker yet later into the night, followed by dawn the next morning. biglaugh

This is how I look at it but I have no idea what I'm talking about and there are no facts to back me up. But.....

Since 2007, March has been March. Some good days some bad. This year, it broke temperature records. In 2005 and 2006, the weather at LMS was epic. March '05 and '06 was Good. When March was bad or average, June was wet with below average temperature. This March was hot so June should be hot too and we have had a mild winter with sea currents warmer than usual.

I am basing this on Kent because La Sarthe mirrors the weather here. Every year I go, weather is the same there and here.

That was my first trip to LM - oh how I was misled thinking it would always be like that....

Too hot for me too, just down one notch would be perfect!

It's funny how things are relative, here in Western Australia we had 40+ degree days during our Summer, I always feel like I'm freezing at LM when I'm out of the sun

I passed out sometime after the race finished on Sunday. The Stella had nothing to do with it.

Yeah, the Thursday night in particular I've never known it so cold there!

It's 9C at Le Mans today and sideways rain. This is predicted to continue for another 53 days until the 24th June 2013. I am building my Ark, but only have one XKSS not two, so I'll have to leave it behind.

If you give it to me now I'll take my chances that it may float.
