There was a very tasty black 350i FHC at the 'Fest a couple of years back, for sale as I recall. Seem to remember it had been a prize in a competition when it was new? Some mens' magazine or cosmetics, I forget now.
If I had a lotto win I'd be scouring the country looking for it.

"Some mens' magazine or cosmetics"

Cosmetics? I know we now live in an enlightened age, but back then, would the typical hairy-chested TVR buying man really be entering such competitions? Gordon flaming Bennett. Strike a light.

Now where on Earth did I put my lippy?

I think it was aftershave and there were 6 identical cars made as prizes, well that's what I was told when I first started looking for a FHC many many years ago

Its 1984 I think, but Ill have to check as its on a TVR plate on it.

Its also got air conditioning on it, and I was tld that it was the last one built, but hey, not everything you get told is true!

What do ya know Neil?

Hi

I tried to buy a white 350iFHC with aircon project which had been up for sale on F-bay for a few times two years ago,

I can't remeber the reg.

It turned out to be a well know car which had some know History with either a Pub wall or a bridge wall?

I will go back and see if I can find the details!

The man didn't sell it then and I don't know what happened to it.

Going back a long time when I was looking for my first wedge in the mid 90s I saw a gold one which had a a lot of surface rust on the chassis and a dark metalic blue one which supposedly had been upgraded by Andy Rouse to 3.9l and various chassis mods.

It also had a thick alloy plate behind the brake servo to stiffen the mounting and improve pedal feel apparently.

The reason for dragging this up was to perhaps confirm that my 350i FHC 2+2 was the last 2+2 built.

There are probably going to be later 350i FHCs that have AC on them too, but not the magical 2+2, eh rob??? wink
