Hi,

Cheeky one really.

I got married in 2005, and my Dad organised with a then colleagues brother to run me and my best man to the church in his then 2 yr old 911.

He, the friend, has since emmigrated.

However, my sister is getting married next year, 6th June, Prescot area of Merseyside and she has asked to see if i can find someone to take her hubby to be and his best man to the church. I've exhausted my contacts, most are based out of the area or are now driving dieseley company cars again. So question is - can the PH massive help? Only very local - i think it would work out 5 miles tops. Obviously you drive and there'd be a couple of pics outside church. So, probably 30 mins of your time from picking him up to wishing him all the best.

He's got an M3 himself so is quite interested in cars, so would probably be looking in terms of 4 seaters at likes of Porsches, Bentleys etc. Any suggestion/offer most welcome though obviously!

I think there'd be a few beer tokens thrown in for your trouble/time/fuel.

Good idea Laurence.

Will mention that to her.

As it happens - drove to drop some files off with a friend of mine who I used to do a bit of work for, on way home from work - his fancy gates opened - newish Audi A6 estate, as ever; Transit van, as ever; then behind them both, nice 997 Carrera 4S.

Thought i'd found a likely candidate but the Porsche is going soon to free up some cash for the business!

You could always try Facebook - Post on the Clatterbridge Car Show page, They have a lot of different cars going to the Show so are watching posts on the page. You may be lucky. There were some fantastic cars there last year!

or look at car forums.

911uk.com organised 4 911s to take 4 bridesmaids to a do if I remember correctly.

I put the message above yours and heard nothing since. He hasn't come back to his thread and check for messages so it cant be that important.
So its not important enough to offer a pair of Aston Martins.

Unlucky.
