Week after next I am going to be spending a week "camping" in the Lake District. I have a camping pod booked on the National Trust site at Wasdale

Im looking for suggestions on things to do. Being powerfully built and lazy with it, Im not looking to climb up any big mountains but am up for some hill walking.

Is there anything that I should really do and if so what?

Any help is gratefully appreciated

I did try searching but it didnt work very well!

Define big mountain and define big hill.

Personally I always try and get upto Hellvellyn and down Striding Edge. High Street takes you to the top of Hell and is a lovely walk.

High street does not take you up hellvellyn. Hellvellyn from thirlmere is easy. Loughrigg, elterwater and rydal water are easy, castle crag and wadlendtath around Keswick is great.

As above South lakeland animal Park near Ulverston,, great day out even better if you can find some discount vouchers, (tesco etc).

Tarn hows nice easy circular Waterside walk, Grizedale forest or fellfoot park passes a few hours with kids.
