Just FYI - If it is similar to the PS4, you download the programme but then there's another 10gb download once you start the programme?

It should be downloading automatically if you've left it on. If you highlight/select Destiny on the Home screen, press the options button and then select more info or something like that you can see the overall download progress on PS4.

was ready to rock and roll when I got home. I have only played for a hour but really enjoying it. i'm yet to leave the atmosphere but found the game-play and graphics to be bloody good.

Jumped into that Devils Lair with 2 randoms and we managed to do it without any communication, just a bit of a grind on the boss forever shooting the same parts until it goes down.

What level are you? The Devils Lair is supposed to be tackled once you reach level 6 at the least where you (and your weapons) are a bit more powerful. It still takes a long time, just not as long as if you are at lower levels. The bosses also go through different movement cycles and there are times you can do extra damage.

On the spider for example, if you concentrate on one leg until you blow it up, it drops to the floor and a flashing red bit is exposed behind the head which you can pummel for lots of extra damage.

Loving the crucible now and can actually hold my own and win a few rounds BUT the Hunter is definitely underpowered compared to the other two classes.

tried the new multiplayer map last night (on the moon) which is massive, I thought great perfect for the hunter. I still got absolutely bhed about. So I started again with a new character as a Titan. I have noticed a massive increase in power even in single player. Unless they change it I can see myself going back to the Hunter.
