Im looking for a bit of advice in best way to clean G4 compound from pinholes.

Bascially I made some carbon panels for my car but had to cut the bag during cure and ended up with pinholes, part needed lacquering anyhow so put an initial coat of lacquer on and sanded it back and did a brief G4 mop over as I needed to fit to car to drive it to an event.

Anyhow I ended up with G4 in the pinholes and I am struggling to get it out, tried panel wipe, even tried thinners but that was too agressive on the laquer.... I cant sand the pannel all bay back to remove the pinholes totally as that will ruin the carbon weave underneath and I dont want to paint over them as they are as they a effectivelly white pinholes against a black carbon finish.

any advice?

Acetone could work.

In effect you've got a white dust trapped in pinholes.
The dust needs washing out and no amount of wiping it over with whatever is going to wash it out. How about trying a jet wash.
If that doesn't work could the white dust be disguised with a black polish?

Jet wash is probably the best way. Try to do it sooner rather than later as it becomes more and more difficult to remove the longer it's left.

Try getting the pinholes wet with some water then blowing them out with compressed air( same as a jet wash really).

Jetwash would work or air through an air hose.

nothing worked, tried steam cleaner, air line etc etc frown.... basically i went round the pinholes and removed what i could with a sharp knife and air line which took forever then I relaquered using a 2 gun technique that allows the 2 pack to flow into the pinholes.

needs a proper block back and then a final coat of lacquer but its looking good now.... it did occur to me over the weekend that it would have been quicker to have made a new panel and sold this one on to someone who wants it painted rather than lacquered lol

here is a pic of the panel before i blocked it back and left it full of white pinholes... looks like this again now lol
