Gearbox rebuild kit

can anyone recommend where to get one from for a 2004 citroen relay 2.2HDi. I believe the gearbox code is 20UM16.

Mine just locked itself in 2nd gear. I think the baulk ring has welded itself to the gear

Not sure there is such a thing as a rebuild 'kit'. Dealer only for most gearbox parts from my experience.
I noticed you are in south wales, where abouts are you? I can recommend a gearbox specialist in my area who will repair yours for a reasonable amount.

Citroen is probably the easiest option - grab the VIN and see what bits the dealer can supply. Or have a look on http://servicebox.citroen.com for what you can get. Assuming I've got the right box there's a synchro kit for about £170, bearings will probably be the same again direct.

Doubt you will find a kit as genrally parts price will be above a box price.

There are box repair specialists around might be worth asking for a quote. Or look for a 2nd box.

thanks for the replies. I think I'll get the box out and stripped and see what parts I need and go from there. If cost comes to more than a 2nd hand box I'll just get a good 2nd hand one.

2nd hand is £400+ though

got the box stripped yesterday. 5th gear is missing some teeth where it meets the synchro hub and the spring clip that sits inside the synchro that the selector rides over when going into gear had snapped and jumped out the side, locking it in 2nd.

new synchro hub and 5th gear is around £275 so I'm gonna do it. cheapest box I can find is a so-called recon box (yeh sure it's recon) for £550.
