…your head rest slipping down? Cut a piece of sink waste pipe to the length you want. Heat it with a paint stripper to get it into the right shape and cover with leather or vinyl. I ran up a tube of leather on my sewing machine (if you can change your spark plugs you can do this!). Of course it would have been even easier just to glue some vinyl to the plastic but hey, why do it the easy way when its Sunday afternoon and it’s raining?

No wink

Do you have a long neck Joe, just had a look through various S photo's and can't see a single car with headrest up anywhere near that high (or is that because they won't stay up) !

Joe, was this mod after brooklands today? Saw your car and the interior looked the mutts nuts I must say. (As did the rest of the car and those 8 spokes) Didn't notice the mod?. P.s hope you don't mind, but was busy photographing your V8 side decal so I have something to go on when I do mine. Pete

Mike - don't know about the length of my neck but that's were the back of my head is. Although some people have said I have some neck laugh

Paul - no it wasn't. Having the head rest constantly slipping down on the drive home was the final straw so I did the mod when I got back. Thanks for the compliment - I'll dig out that Pristine bill and let you know how much it cost to get the wheels done.

Having the head rest below the nape of your neck is not a good idea. In an accident the back lash could pivot your head back over the head rest and leave you with a very nasty life changing injury.

You are correct and I wish more people had their headrest adjusted correctly. In the accident, that I hope nobody ever has, the position of the headrest is critical. Mine is up in the sky as well but seems to stay there on its own

Cheers
Tony

Joe

I am always cursing my headrest dropping down; this looks an excellent fix.
