Hi, I've only got a single remote/key for my fiesta so want a second one. I'se seen lots of blanks on the bay such as this one (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-FIESTA-FOCUS-KA-TRANSIT-REMOTE-KEY-FOB-FLIP-CONVERSION-CASE-UPGRADE-/251225640038?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a7e370c66) which say they'll do the job.

Once I've got one silly question but can any key place, like Timpsons, cut it for me or do I need to head to Vospers?

I know I then need to code it to my car but the manual shows that so it shouldn't be to hard.

That link is just for the empty case & blank metal key, there is no circuit board inside. That will not work for a second key without the insides.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but it's not possible to do it apart from at a ford dealership.

You need two keys to programme a third, but you cannot reprogramme a second (with one key). Getting the key to match the barrel is the easy bit, but the immobiliser chips will be different.

I believe it's circa £80 for a key from ford.

Oh! Good thing I checked!
This should do it yes? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Flip-Remote-Key-Cut...

Although it doesn't say how to do the transpoder, is that Ford gargae thing or something I can do?

I'm not sure, it claims to have a "blank transponder", but I'm not sure how you'd go about coding it. I think you'll encounter the same problem, not being able to sinc the car and key.

My advice, go talk to a ford dealer. They'll be able to tell you what's required.

Flipping heck, the parts guys want £100 just for the key, without coding it! Think I'll ask if they can code the ebay keys cos £100 + coding is a hell of a lot.
