Neutral curing RTV Silicone?
Discussion
Hi guys,
I am trying to find Neutral curing Silicone to seal up a ABS unit I need to fix - I can't use normal RTV, as it gives off acetic acid when it cures which is corrosive to electronics.
I found Loctite make one that fits the bill by the look of it:

Does anyone know if that will do the job (ie. not damage the electronic board), know recommend a product that is easy to get hold of and/or cheaper?
Cheers.

You could go for a polyurethane sealant if it's just to bond a cover on (Tiger seal etc.) These don't release any acid during curing.
Seconded or this one is Oxygen/Lambda sensor safe (no odour or acidic action) so would be perfect for what your after, I use this stuff myself http://www.camskill.co.uk/m1b0s4322p81948/Wurth_-_...Gassing Station | Engines & Drivetrain | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
