Fitting Type 9 Gear Box to Ford Crossflow

Hi Guys
Just wondered if anyone has done this conversion and used both new ring gear 110 gog and lucas starter 10 cog.
obviously many will have done this using one of these parts new but both is what I am keen to find out as when fitting new ring gear I decided to fit new starter motor and this combination is locking up when I try to start her.
However the set up was working fine before new parts where fitted.
