Front pad change on SF5 fozzie

All Subaru brakes are the easiest brakes to do on the planet.
If you feel you have to majorly use your tapping stick to change pads or rotors you're doing it wrong or there is something wrong. If they are that seized that major hammering is required you should get someone else to do it because you could cause damage.
The only very light tapping that needs to be done is tapping the brake pins out gently on 4pot front brakes, that's it.
Rotors aren't normally in there long enough either to be seized as you normally change those every two pad changes.

Easy peasy
- Loosen wheel bolts
- Jack up car and support car with a stand
- Remove wheel
- undo the caliper retaining bolts (17mm I think)
- slide caliper off and support it - used an upside down bucket
- Remove pads and clean up caliper with a wire brush and brake cleaner.
- Open bonnet and remove brake fluid reservoir cap - put a bit of rag around to catch any spillage.
- use a G-Clamp to push the pistons back into the caliper
- apply copper grease to back of new pads and insert in to caliper. You should be able to re-use the metal spring things on the new pads
- do up the bolts, put brake fluid reservoir cap on,
