The Cerb seats are in and they look fantastic (IMO). Dave the Trimmer has done an excellent job and turned the whole lot around, including the centre console, in four days. The three rows of stitching on the seat cushion and the back work really well (IMO) and makes the modern seat sit comfortably (pun intended) in the classic cockpit and the colour match is excellent. I chose vinyl for the centre console for practical reasons. It’s a high abrasion area which gets baked in the sun and soaked in the rain. Also, it would have meant buying a whole extra hide which would have been about ten times as much as a meter of vinyl, so it was a no brainer really. If you’re considering any interior work I’d definitely recommend you have a chat with Dave and have a look at his work.

Benefits – they look great (IMO), the pump-up lumbar support makes them very comfortable, the head rest is always at the right height (for me), they are a doddle to fit. Also they sit slightly higher in the car because the Cerb seats are deeper in the cushion so they are slightly easier to get in and out of.
Negatives – cost! S/H Cerb seats are significantly more than ‘S’ ones and they cost more to re-upholster than standard ones. The greater seat height means that if you’re over 6’ you’ll probably be looking at the sun visor lot.

Thanks to Alex for the photos – lots more here
