No probs.

I hope it can be kept on the road but it may be scrap. I have to agree on a value with the insurance and buy a new car first anyway.

£995. Possible paint on nearside? Photos often deceiving with silver though. Edit: bump strip looks fresher too, so I'm betting a repair of some description.

Otherwise... scratchchin

This has 325i is leggy, has a short MOT and probably terminal borkage - but it looks worth a punt...

That's had paint. They should have feathered in the front edge of the rear door (about 10cc's would do it, feck all really, but that's where the skill is) and mopped the rest of that side to blend it.

It screams back street bodge. I'd walk. It's not as if it's a rare car, they come up all the time.

I just bought this nice late model October 2000 1.8 A4 which has all the toys and comes with 4 months tax and test for £225..

It even came with 4 new tyres and over half a tank of petrol and it runs like a dream and has only done 57000.

I bought it just to use it to retro fit some goodies in my lovely old green 95 A4 but I can't see that happening now.

That was also bought 4 years ago for £281 and that one had only done 53000

But saying that both were eBay auction jobs.

I have an old Laguna (2002) that needs to go if anyone wants a station car or cheap run about. Up at an optimistic £650 but would happily let it go for less smile

Is it this one http://r.ebay.com/vX0ucm? Maybe not because you said it runs like a dream and this one is apparently buggered. Then again maybe it is this one because it has the same mileage and MOT/Tax as yours.......

If so it would be interesting to hear how you solve its engine power loss issues.

2005 c4 1.6hdi 67k miles power steering gone, £40 on ebay and about 2 hours fitting.
£390 in total, had 11months mot and couple months of tax.
selling it on though,as these 1.6hdi's are tragic engines and it will break down
then be almost worthless.

Spotted on the Facebook page of a garage in Sussex (Vehicle Dynamics)

"2000 Ford KA, another tatty one but starts and drives well. Still some corrosion but it has an MOT till 7th July 2015. NO V5 so we can not tax it - new owner will need to apply for the V5. 106k miles - good engine and gearbox. Could make a great little car. £300"

A Maf sensor £14 and a 5 minute job just disconnect and put a new one on.
I originally bought it thinking the worst it's a lovely car and I was thinking I would have to do quite a bit of work on it then give it to my sister in law for Christmas to ferry the kids about, or worst case scenario was retro fit some bits on the old one then send to the weighbridge.

I've been more than lucky on this car it was an absolute bargain plus it drives so well that I'm now keeping it and she can have my old car instead smile

Plus really genuine nice people to deal with, I think if carlsberg had invented car buying then this was it.

I dont usually post GTVs, as they can be a money pit:

But for £1300, this looks pretty decent:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-ALFA-ROMEO-GTV-T-SP...

Its also wearing £500 worth of Teledial wheels, which would soften the blow in case of disaster.

The powerflow exhaust will be worth a bit too.

You should be banned from this thread you bd. Still miss my GTV.

This came-up looking at the tatty TE below - we don't have a worst of the basement thread and - well - I'm not - errr - the seller isn't even sure what it is (I know, I know) but it's not - well...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mercedes-benz-s280-s320-...

I know, I know but I don't HATE it - much - and it's there and...

It's the SL next to it - it says the owner might not be QUITE as insane as you'd think - doesn't it?

I sort of can't quite bring myself to hate that, looks like it'd be a potential wallet ruiner also but i really kinda think it'd be a fun car to own and smoke around in.
