In retrospect this must have just been a childish phase, but back in the day I genuinely thought they were pretty good looking cars.
It's got a bit of retro crap appeal to it and I fail to see how you can go wrong at £200 with a couple of months test

Probably sold. smile

Cheap bit of motoring. Dunno how many months' MOT it had on it.

Bought it. 2001 9-5 2.3 lpt

80K, family owned, good FSH (all Saab garages), allegedly garaged from new (and looks like it), non age related plate, the all important tow bar, test until november.

I've not been allowed to drive it yet - the wife loves it however; the stereo is apparently "loud", it's "very very comfy" and also gets a rating of "fast"

All for maximum thread budget.

Is due an oil service and has no evidence of a sump drop so I'll get on to that first. Should upgrade the pcv kit by all accounts as well. Who's good for saab parts does anyone know?

They keep turning my head these big Saabs. I've absolutely zero need for a car like this, but still keep looking at the HOT models.

I can only see em become more sought after, such good value right now and if you find a good Indy they will probably be fanatical about the brand

very chuffed with my Aero

I've always been wary of cars with towbars fitted, especially big cars as it suggests they may have had a hard life towing a caravan or big trailer around along with all the strain that put on the transmission etc

Am I right to be careful -unless I needed a tow bar I guess?

I always thought if I went to look at a car with a towbar I'd try to find out what it had been towing by asking a leading question like - "So it can cope OK towing a big caravan can it?"

If I get a reply such as "Yeah, no probs mate, I've had my 18 berth swift XL on the back of here down to Spain a few times every year", I will run away!

How much extra strain does it actually put on the car? I would have thought it was negligible once up to speed.

If it's their everyday car, surely the vast majority of journeys would be without caravan anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it too much personally.

Not a fan of the shape or colour, but that looks astonishing for the money and age.

My crap astra has literally just died, might need to go to brum this weekend.

Very tidy looking E46 323i on eBay for £995. Haven't seen one as clean as this for a while!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-BMW-323i-SE-4-Door-...

MOT until January next year, "service history", and by the looks of things rust free!

I got lucky alright,
good bits, 1 owner from new, like new inside, good paint, FSSH, HK speakers, memory seats and mirrors with auto dim, rain sensing, self levelling, local indy was pissed off because it is better than his 2010 Aero
bad bits, 200k, scruffy wheels
