Looks like I've joined the marque at the right time, with Anniversary celebrations, a plethora of new models and success on the tracks.

Race success continues to grow, congrats to Aston upsetting the established big-budget German opposition with second in qualifying at Nurburgring 24hrs, and a fine solid 10th finish in the circumstances. Motors TV coverage was a bit rubbish today, will find better elsewhere, perhaps there was some Aston in-car footage

My first factory visit next Tuesday 4th, what are the chances of them having the above available for a poke around, I wonder?! biggrin

I should go in the Vantage, but tempting to turn up in my hillclimb-sprint TVR, given my interest in racing and the original history of the Aston marque!

I didn't post a proper pic of my 4.7 before, so in line with forum protocol...

If you take your AM, it will park in the slots outside the door. Any thing else will not, so if you want to walk, fire away.

Welcome to the fold.

We'll keep fingers crossed that it's not left for the next promotional engagement then.

Welcome
I saw the plate and thought that was my old car for a second - until I saw it had a roof wink

There is normally something special laying around at the factory though "secret" stuff is always under wraps
We managed to crawl over a 1-77 and the N24 used in Top Gear

Were abouts in Shropshire are you?
I'm in the Shrewsbury area

We'll keep our eyes peeled then.

See you also had a mega S2000 - didn't know the Honda could be SC'd to quite that level, presumably low comp pistons etc.

I'm in Shrewsbury too - up for a local pub meet one evening?

The Honda was on stock internals!
You cna get it to ~700BHP with a built motor
Yep an evening meet might be a good idea
I might encourage a few others out as well

Sounds good, let me know. If we settle on nice pub or live music wife may be tempted too, if not it's a quiet evening out for me. All good.

SS100 in reception it was then, styling looks just as adventurous as you'd hope close up.

Also suitably impressed with factory, a mix of high-tech and hand craftsmanship.

So the factory visit is definitely worth it?

The Stratstone dealer who supplied my car mentioned they would sort out a factory visit - if it's recommended, I'll have to chase them up...

Do it. Been twice, going a third time soon. Always something different to see.
