It's not that current. A teacher I know used it 30 years ago. It was quite irritating then, but at least it was in the context of boxing.

In the misty conditions this week, it annoys me that a fair amount of drivers didn't have any lights on at all. One of which was a marked police car.

And the driver this morning who decided to turn their rear fogs on when we hit a misty patch, even though I was behind them and had been for some time. Do they think I suddenly wouldn't be able to see them? Surely if you can see the car behind in your mirrors, then there is a good chance they can see you! I had to endure these retina burning lights for the next 5 miles or so.

My point exactly! Rear foglights are so that motorists behind you can see you and can match speeds with you and continue to see you in order to maintain distance. Once you are sure those criteria are met they can be turned off.

But that implies thought, reason, cogent behaviour, and intelligence. Sadly.

With all the technical know these days I'm sure it cant be too difficult to make fog lights automatic. One of the few things that would benefit from being automatic

Rugby Union players never look that fit to me, certainly the British players don't and how often do they puke?

As I have said up thread, Union has massive issues with football, tell someone you don't like rugby (union) and their first response is always "it's better than football", who mentioned football? They talk of diving in football (who mentioned football?) but forget bloodgate and doping, then after all this talk of union being better than football, their world cup has almost exactly the same format as the game they dislike so much (but secretly want to play). The even go as far as emulating football by believing their own hype about being world champions when they are in fact st. A load of baffling, elitist, bks. It up their with golf on the list of st sports.
