I love the absolute pioneering spirit that led them to believe they could feasibly squeeze "Sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the >breath< Seeeeerengettiiiiiiiiiii"

It's like they said "This will be the lyric. Find a way to make it fit. Don't give me any st about meter or syllables. MAKE IT FIT!"
heheyes

And it's an awesome song, so who cares!?

It's not that current. A teacher I know used it 30 years ago. It was quite irritating then, but at least it was in the context of boxing.

It's particularly ironic that in the patchy fog on the M3 today, it was the dim-witted drivers who were the ones failing to turn their fog lights off again when we were no longer in the fog patch.

Guess the brightest thing about them is their rear fog lights.
In the misty conditions this week, it annoys me that a fair amount of drivers didn't have any lights on at all. One of which was a marked police car.

And the driver this morning who decided to turn their rear fogs on when we hit a misty patch, even though I was behind them and had been for some time. Do they think I suddenly wouldn't be able to see them? Surely if you can see the car behind in your mirrors, then there is a good chance they can see you! I had to endure these retina burning lights for the next 5 miles or so.

My point exactly! Rear foglights are so that motorists behind you can see you and can match speeds with you and continue to see you in order to maintain distance. Once you are sure those criteria are met they can be turned off.

But that implies thought, reason, cogent behaviour, and intelligence. Sadly.

With all the technical know these days I'm sure it cant be too difficult to make fog lights automatic. One of the few things that would benefit from being automatic

Yeah, no, that would be very difficult. Auto wipers are hard enough to calibrate.

Absolutely. Stupid game with petty rules where nothing really happens and the 'players' stand around for most of the game. There's a reason why its a minority 'sport'.

Whatever my views on the game, that has to be one of the most inaccurate reviews of modern Rugby I have seen for ages......away with you and play with your PC on your own.

I've just overheard a young woman telling two friends about how "MMR causes autism". Her friends were lapping it up.

I can't fking believe that so long after this nonsense was debunked that credulous idiots are still promulgating such utter rubbish.

Rugby Union players never look that fit to me, certainly the British players don't and how often do they puke?

As I have said up thread, Union has massive issues with football, tell someone you don't like rugby (union) and their first response is always "it's better than football", who mentioned football? They talk of diving in football (who mentioned football?) but forget bloodgate and doping, then after all this talk of union being better than football, their world cup has almost exactly the same format as the game they dislike so much (but secretly want to play). The even go as far as emulating football by believing their own hype about being world champions when they are in fact st. A load of baffling, elitist, bks. It up their with golf on the list of st sports.
