Christmas. Or, specifically, premature Christmas.

It's bad enough that there are Christmas decorations up in November, but Christmas food that has a "Best Before" date in November??

Average speed scameras frown Mile after bloody mile of mind numbing driving making sure you're doing 50 mph.

Also drivers who don't adhere to overhead motorway lane signs. Arrows telling you to slow down to 40 and move into a single lane then a load of selfish wkers ignore the signs and speed past you in the other lanes, pushing in up front when they reach the bollards closing the other lanes. rage
Thank you fatboy 18. One of my supporters. APIS alert.

That's what you are supposed to do. Not get in a queue 10 miles before you have to. See other PH tread that supports this.

The road to my mum's is 12 or so miles of 50 mph with the odd village thrown in (B1188) - and I know there are often speed cameras on that route (I've been done before). I do 53mpg (indicated) but so often I end up being tailgated because of it.... Urgh

Except for the guys on the managed section of the M6 a few nights ago. Last time I checked, the 'move over' arrows mean 'move over', the big red 'X' means 'lane closed'. No shortage of drivers happy to carry on through at least three 'lane closed' signs - much to the annoyance of the poor buggers who were trying to cone off two lanes of the motorway. As these signs are equipped with Gatsos, maybe they could be configured to catch people running a fully closed lane - and configured to catch people driving up the hard shoulder when that's not explicitly open too.

Last week on the radio there have been public information messages saying that if you drive in a lane with a red x you will be nicked! If the arrows indicate to move over, you move over, not continue past the signs undercutting other drivers! And I'm not talking about a Ten mile queue I'm talking about a 1 mile queue wink
Where is the link to this other thread?

Yes, it's downstairs right now laughing at me. I missed it in the viewings and it took me a week or two after moving in before I noticed it. When the time comes to repaint I'll whip it out.

What kind of sicko does this kind of thing when they are building a house?

Someone who is doing the job as quickly as possible and doesn't notice (or care) when they make a mistake?

People who leave the protective film on electrical goods. Especially when the film starts to get a bit manky. Annoys me almost as much as a wonky picture frame.
It annoyed me beyond reason when my last TomTom came with a plastic film over the screen that had printing on it, so I couldn't leave it on. It's all a fiendish plot to sell screen protectors, for those that don't want to use cling film.

When things aren't quite multiples of 10 (tiles for example) - or if they aren't a proper grid - tiles have to be in a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 set for example...

Last night on the way to the pub I decided that it's not so much shops and pubs bringing Christmas forward every year that annoys me - they're just in a race with each other to not be out-done. But people in houses putting up Christmas trees and so on is much more so - I noticed several with trees up already.
