Just read the road test on the new BMW S1000XR. It sounds like all the bike you would ever need, so might swap the Triumph Explorer next year.

Bike magazine?

Mine arrived today and that review stood out as a possible future bike for me.

Passed my Mod 1 earlier today, so bike shopping now begins in earnest. Right now I can't see far beyond this as a first big bike... seems like the total package I'm after.

Repsol SP and Stelvio NTX

The SP is the only thing on the planet I'd let my Repsol RR7 go for, which was on ebay

Stelvio is just for 2up with Mrs or kids, and long distance etc.

Is it wrong that I'm getting more and more attached to the idea of getting one of these?

I'm currently trying to talk myself out of buying a Street Triple R. I have the cash sitting in my account, I've convinced myself that commuting on my GSXR is rubbish and it would be loads better on the Triumph. This can only end well.

The only solid argument I can make against is would be regarding the looks, but they have grown on me. Especially in the right colour with the bits of bodywork etc. They have a decent deal on accessories for new bikes too...
