I'm going to Prague with a handful of friends next week for a stag do / short break and need some ideas please.

I'm asking based on the hope that Prague isn't underwater this time next week and we don't just end up doing underwater sight-seeing.

Personally speaking I'm all about seeing the major sights, sampling the local food and drink and taking the place in but as it's also a stag do some kind of activity is expected. There is talk of going out of the city to a shooting thing where you get to play with some interesting guns but is there anything in Prague itself that might be a "must do" thing for a group of 5 or 6 chaps?

I'm not too keen on the idea of giving a lady some money to gyrate and that sort of thing but it would be nice to make it memorable for my soon to be married chum.

I'm expecting it to turn into the movie "Hostel" to be honest and having watched the Scam Cities episode on Prague I fear the worst but hopefully with a bit of help from the well-travelled people of PH I can avoid this.

The sex, chastity and torture museum is amusing.
The nightclub on the end of the Charles Bridge is a must, amazing place for a night out. Its like a Prague version of the 7 floors of wes but with cheaper alcohol smile

Local food is meat and dumplings. Prague dumplings are not like British ones...they are awesome and come in every flavour going!

Top Gun is on the list, one of the party has heard you can shoot a cow with a bazooka if you ask the right people.

I'm amazed by the range of things you can do "with strippers" - it seems any excursion possible from hiring a car to going on a boat tour has a tick-box for strippers as an add-on.

I need to take a chill pill and go with the flow on this one I think, I'm looking a things like "TeamBike" (exercise and see the sights), I might be doing this stag thing incorrectly (I didn't have one of my own and usually don't partake if invited).

Did the Segway city tour last month ,with 5 mates , approx 3 hours and a great giggle ( especially if you have a couple of beers with lunch before you set off ) A fantastic way to see the city , and saves the long climb to the castle ,
Oh , another vote for Goldfingers

Kudos

There's a club with a midget bird. Lots of fun, everyone knows where it is

There is a little bit of water around at the moment but the Segway sounds like a good plan if it's possible, if not I guess it's midget hunting or something smile

I've found an Absinthe bar near the hotel and a few other possibles but keep the suggestions flowing...

Day time sight seeing is great. Good normal club just by charlies bridge. Look on the net for the normal clubs there are not obverse . The strip club are every where and drink prices are ok. The main square is like a film set. Think they are having a few flooding issues at the mo. We didn't do the gun shooting but wish we did. Be warned even the old women are stunning. lick

Just be aware which clubs you go into, some are purely lap dancing but others are also brothels.

The club down by the river that has been mentioned is a good spot for a "normal" night out.

All the lap dancing places along the main square are much the same as each other, avoid the ones further away as these are the ones you will find yourself in bother in.

Great city, been twice a d love the place

or, indeed, "Goldfingers".... It's good, very good, by all accounts. wink

Prague's drying out, and quickly. We have a large office there which has been in offsite contingency all week, but will reopen next Mon.

The old town, however, is a complete mess I'm told.
Only wear old shoes.
Since the old town is a mess, the basement "music bars" might be out of action for some time. frown
