I am very serious, specifically for off-road bikes up to around 120kg.

How do you plan to get it on and off the roof?

Via a winch mechanism and extendable track system.

By helicopter and he's not too fussed how much damage the ratchet straps do to the car either.

Don't be stupid.

For a trials bike you simply ride up onto the bonnet then hop up onto the roof.

Have you given this a moments thought? Seriously? So how long will this extendable track be to create a viable angle? How strong musg it be to support a bike at its md point? How are you going to keep the bike upright while you're winching it up? How many cars can take sucjh a weigbt on the roof mounted so high?

You don't need a track, you just tow a forklift behind you.

Not one of the comments above gives any reasons or detail as to why it cannot be done?

1. The roof would collapse
2. The ratchet straps would destroy the car
3. The car would probably tip over at the first corner
4. How would you get it off?
5. How woul you get it back on again when you've not got the winch
6. Plod would have a field day if they saw you
7. Your insurance would probably be invalid

Enough?
