Sat outside cafe de Paris (not that I'm rubbing it in or anything biggrin )

The question is which one would you jump in? The wife has chosen the red one (traitor!).

Just walk away from the casino to the end of the road, turn right (heading out towards le Meridien) and 100 yards down the hill on the left is a cracking little Italian restaurant at very good prices yes

Why did they try to move your thread ??? smile

Well I'm stuck in an airport lounge at Manchester airport......bloody French air traffic control on strike.....on a positive note I will be in Turin tomorrow and Lake Garda on Wednesday to Friday.

Come on, I like Astons as much as the next guy, but a DB9 vs a GTO. I'll defect for that!

Correct.

I'd take that in a heartbeat.

That thing is a digrace to the GTO-badge. Nothing is 'Omologato' about it.
But I'll have its engine in the body of the DB9 ;-)

Glad it's not just me who gets bugged by that.

Typical modern Ferrari though... selling anything they can without caring about the heritage of the brand.

The fact it doesn't deserve the GTO badge doesn't stop it being an exceptional motor car

It's an amazing engine in it's regular GTB form, but in GTO spec it's a monster. Now an SA APerta, that's the perfect tourer !

The fezza is certainly very striking (and not in a French air traffic control way), there's no denying that. But I will still take the elegance of the DBcloud9 any day smile

Some of you are making me think mojo is right about the rose tinted glasses. Thanks for that wink

DB9 is more pretty, but surely the GTO is by any other measure a different level.

Maybe not everyone wants the OTT power or garish looks (imo) of the GTO.

I'd take a DB9 over that new LaFerrari monstrosity for the same reasons.

Depends what you want. The recent review of vanquish vs F12 vs a 3rd car (can't remember which) showed that despite the power gap, the best GT (let's remember, that's what DB9 is) doesn't need to be SO fast.

I would love the GTO over a DB9 but I recognise that for many, they would prefer the comfier suspension, gear changes, seats, etc of a DB9 which depending on which roads and how you drive, could be just as fast as a GTO plus there's no denying DB9 is a classier, more refined, discreet look than GTO.

Equally, others, myself included, would prefer the noise, handling, drama, etc of the GTO. Horses for courses but I fully understand those that think either way on this one

Mind yu unlike the poster above, I'd take the laferrari. Sell it, with the money buy a GTO (well the Aperta), a track car and a new vanquish and a few other toys.......
