Reading about all these embarrassments on Aston ownership I thought it might be amusing to post details of your embarrassing breakdown.
I say embarrassing mainly because of the reactions one gets from the general public which range from a sympathetic conversation to the laughing out loud and gloating shout from the guy in the passing old banger.
Recently I came to a full stop on a Sunday afternoon in the busy one way system around Trafalgar Square.
Don't laugh, I had run out of petrol !
I had to stand for 2 hours directing traffic around the car waiting for the AA to arrive.
My wife was so furious with me that after an hour sitting fuming in the car she got out, without a word, and caught the bus home.
Not an experience I want to repeat.

Astons have never failed to proceed.

TVR however; ignition went on the blink when it was only a month old (TVR u suk lol), it stopped dead blocking traffic in Barnstaple rush hour. All the beach traffic passed me by honking and laughing, I simply gave them the thumbs up smile

Aston has been surprisingly reliable given that everybody knows how much they suk rolleyes

My ultra reliable BMW Z4 however had to be trailered back to dealer twice within its first three years though, so many sniggers and pointing of fingers from passers by. It really is a horrendous feeling!

Both mine have sukked
Eating batteries with electrical faults and failing to start at home
Thankfully not whilst out & about

A while back I had an auto diesel co car I put petrol in
It chugged to a halt in the middle of a dual carriage way approaching the M way
No bugger stopped to help frown

" no bugger stopped "
A bit of a desperate way to get a buggering Mikey.

When I had a sportshift car, I quite often would put the car in neutral at the lights but then forget and put my foot on the gas when the lights went green, to then find such are the intricacies of that particular box, that it takes a few seconds (seems like minutes) before you can engage 1st in that scenario, whilst everyone else looks at you thinking what a c*ck !

Now they just wonder what the hell you are doing in the boot of your car for 10mins every time you stop... and what the delicious coffee aroma is yes

Heading out of York city centre, Friday 5.30 rush hour, sports shift clutch decides to revert to component form spraying hydraulic fluid all over the exhausts - twin plumes of dense smoke rising with some urgency from bonnet vents (plus plenty more from under rear of car) as car tells me something like "you cannot change gear" and the car grinds to a stalling standstill on a single carriageway.

Happy (me)? No. Popular? No. Amusing? Clearly to some.

Just remembered .
My first drive out with my wife and a daughter in the Volante ,roof down ,stopped at busy traffic lights in front position.
Had put the car in neutral, lights changed ,tried to move off ,nothing !
Cars behind now hooting and going crazy.
Then I realised I needed to depress the brake pedal to put the car in auto mode. silly
