2k miles in the week... Spa track day... Drove back from Brugge today and thought my baby needed some TLC as soon as i parked her up

Something about that first clean of a new car

Hope you've plenty of footage of your new beauty (or beast) - we still need to have a local run out

(I cleaned mine today too to say sorry for contemplating selling)
Fair play Paul - congratulations on your new car - and on using it properly! It does look very shiny smile

Jon - does this mean you've done contemplating and now you are going to keep it after all?

Let's just say I've kissed a few frogs and none have yet turned into a princess. The funniest part was at the jaguar dealer when I found 2 of their staff getting up close and personal and when I went over they said 'lovely car' .

It's good to see you're still keeping tabs on us Molly

Only about 2 hrs rain on second day all the rest was bright sunshine! Roof down all week. We all got stoped by the Swiss police as a local had phoned to complain. We were let go with a warning to obey speed limits. However later that day a hidden speed trap caught a few resulting in a £1200 on the spot fine for one unfortunate soul ( surprisingly not me!) and a couple of hundred quid for others. Was quite glad to leave Switzerland.

Contrasted by 4 motorcycle cops on the Italian side of the border who briefly stopped us then with waving arms shouted "gas gas gas" !! We obliged with two black lines and lots of smoke! Priceless!

Thanks for posting, just wonderful - those roads! I want to go right now! At least the Highland Hoon is less than 4 weeks away and looking every bit an excellent outing.

Great weather Martynsmile. We had really mixed weather
The videos are great, this is exactly the experience smile
Swiss Police: it's fairly serious stuff in Switzerland, criminal offence, not a road traffic offence. It is a percentage of your annual salary for the fine, plus potential confiscation of your car, criminal record. £1200 is fairly cheap from the stories I learnt, talking to locals in Switzerland.
What I was told happens is that when you cross the Swiss Border they create an national Police alert when MORE than two super cars come in to Switzerland together. The great number of cars, the more Police numbers get involved in monitoring the car's activities across Switzerland. They can even use helicopters in some cases to get the whole chain of cars on speeding fines. I still haven't figured out why Pistonheads Nevada have not staggered everyone's entrance into Switzerland with 1-2 cars as groups and then arranging a meeting point.
