That happened here too. Just finished washing a car and then it rained and left it covered in sand!

Stuck the set of cherished plates on now the forms are back, fitted the Tony Hall supplied "Little Norman" sill plaques…..cheers mate….thumbup

Stuck it back in the garage before handing it over to Paddy on Tuesday so he can do all his usual magic before Paintshield fit some extensive stone protection……..smile

I'm hoping for the latest thing in protection along the lines of those nasty Alien basta*ds in Independence Day……….cool,if sidewinders and a flying Nuc couldn't get through it'll do for me…biggrin

No drive out for me today as everywhere around here is buzzing with TVR's as it was there big bash at Burghley today, over 500 turned out I hear.

Had a great weekend with some friends in South Wales. Great driving, lunch by the sea, great driving, lots of eye watering laughs at dinner - sunshine - how can life get better than a weekend like this...

Decided to get the strut braces powdercoated satin black as I preferred not to see them through the bonnet vents. Also decided to get my wheels refurbished after I touched one on a kerb trying to parallel park in Lucerne in the dark and a thunderstorm, on the right hand kerb, and kicking the other on the wall on full lock inside the garage.

Wheels still away but here is the brace.

Hope you didn't eat that flake Will...it looks like a Plaid Cymru spy flake with a radio transmitter sticking out of the top

ETA: ok so I got the wrong pic in the quote! smile

ETA2: is Molly's number plate on wonky or is it the photo?

Perfect weekend for it!

Replaced side strakes for new, painted grilles black and fitted DBS wheels. Not to everyone's taste, but I really like the look - Thanks to Jibberingloon for the tips.

The ice cream cone with flake could well have been a covert operational spy tool Mike biggrin
We never got round to actually having an ice cream by the sea, I guess too much driving and having fun...
I see what you mean about the photo, the No Plate looks funny in the photo - it is straight though in real life. Hell of a car the new GT3

Very nice LBS! The matt-ness matches the blue much better - great upgrade.

And of course, as George will tell you, CF is lighter and stiffer too, which will improve performance, fuel economy and structural rigidity biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Cheers Adam - the matt finish was the main reason to change to cf - I was fed up with all the reflections from the piano black - very happy bunny now smile

Aw, thanks Will! It really was a great weekend - 2 Astons, a GT3 and a GT3 RS plus a bunch of great characters on an adventure in sunny West Wales - weekends don't get much better than that smile

I really like the piano black - it does get dusty. But it's pretty easy to clean.

The CF is nice also. Good to see them side by side, so thanks for the photos.

Are your door piano black inserts also converted to CF?

I wonder what benefit you might get from that...?
