From time to time I post one of these, and here's a new one from our 928 forum.

Here is the original thread from which I lifted the video, as posted originally by Dennis K. Dennis, thanks for the video! It reminds me of myself on the way to work this morning.

This was actually a friendly lead-follow at the Buttonwillow track this past weekend. There were about 30 Rennlisters who met in a NorCal vs SoCal "rumble". Not exactly a rumble, it was a very friendly meet with some extremely fast cars and good driving all around.

This nicely prepared 993 and I were running about the same speed during the day so we hooked up in the final run session to do some lead-follows to see if we could learn something from each other. We were both pedaling as fast as we could go and we were within a second of each other in laptimes.

So here is a massively long video, If you have the time, bandwidth and inclination, check it out.

It's time to rumble (90 MB)

Thanks. That looks like my kind of track - plenty of run-off!

Excellent Dogshark

The track surface looks a bit rough in places and dusty.

Thanks,

Will

Sorry I don't have the details on the 993.

Here are a couple other videos for you race fans, not too friendly for dial up, but still in the 3MB size and not too bad.

Start No. 1, Leguna Seca

Start No. 2, Leguna Seca

A nice action shot, leader spins out, Mark Anderson's 928 gets into third place.

Now for the real Whammy, if you have a fast machine and a good hookup, this one is 33MB, but it's streaming video and it opens quickly. It's an in-car camera. Turn up the sound!

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I love the vintage Porsches, no matter what type they are. In many cases, the older cars have a more desirable (and affordable) character. I have three of them, and I find their upkeep and joy of ownership to be quite positive.
