What happened to the missing post? The one that bumped the thread up?
I think a lot of posters missed it.

The thread was bumped by a post from the victim of this rapist. That post was then removed.

I'm sure I will be flamed for this but given that we know that the victim is reading this thread perhaps people should keep the jokes and more extreme comments to themselves.

Ralph, in that case I wish I hadn't posted. It's possibly one of the worst crimes ever and the victims all need sympathy.

Exactly. It wasn't there for long, I am curious whether it was deleted by the user, or the mods. And for what reason.

Regardless, some of the comments made here are sickening. As are the posters.

Actually can't believe some of things I've read on here. Truly disgusting.

Surely this thread needs locking?

I don't think (or I hope not) that Classic and Grum are trivialising Rape, I think they are trying to say that Burglary can be horrific too and can take ages to get over, if you ever do.
Exactly. I'm pretty surprised it needs explaining.

Obviously rape and burglary are both very serious but, depending on the scale of the crime, one can be more serious than the other. In most cases, my personal preference would be rape.
I know you're a bit of an idiot but make 100% sure nobody can ever link the real you to your online self.

Do you really want this kind of thing being brought up in the future? Perhaps in a job interview or found by your future partner or children. I'm sure you think you're being reasonable but really, you're being an absolute fanny.

You are possibly the most stupid c(o)unt I have ever encountered on the internet. And I have encountered very, very many. You patently have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I cannot express my wishes for you on here as it would undoubtedly mean a ban for me...

You are a complete moron. Once you have some life experience, you will realise what an idiot you are for saying things like this. That said, I think it staggering that a 6th former could be so naive. I know we're raising a generation of idiots in this country, but fking hell, seriously?

Indeed he is; hasn't even begun to think about what he said. And obviously has never known anyone who has been raped.

The mum of my youngest was raped years before I met her. She was lucky enough to get a conviction - but that was the only lucky part. The actual rape itself ... it really is life changing. Took her years to get over it, and the memory of it will always be there. Even when he was inside, the family of the offender were continually giving her grief, they lived less than a mile from her front door.

I think you've missed the mark slightly with "fanny".

I feel this is one of those occasions when the word "" is more appropriate.

A girl I worked with several years ago was raped after a night out in Manchester. I'm pretty sure, given the choice, she would rather have got home to a burgled flat but what do I know....
