So, I've got a weekend on the Isle of Wight with another couple in a few weeks time. We've left booking accom until now as we've not been 100% sure it's going to go ahead. It definitely is now, so we need to book a hotel/b&b.

Can anyone recommend somewhere? Would prefer to be in Yarmouth or West Cowes (or between on the North Coast). Can be a different place for both nights if needed - just need to find some places!

Cheers

We're over there all the time, but we take the boat so our accomodation comes with us, what about The George in Yarmouth?

That's cheating wink

We're going on motorbikes. Unless we rent it, can't really take accommodation with us! If we have to camp, we will, however due l the potential inclement weather, we'd rather not.

Have tried The George. Was my first look and perfect as we'll be dining in Salty's on fri night. However they say they're full. I'll have a quick ring and see what their thoughts are on cancellations.

Don't know what the availability is like at short notice, but last time I was on the 'South' Island we stayed at Albert Cottage hotel. Quiet interesting, it was part of the 'original' Osbourne House estate. Its East Cowes, but no biggy 10 minutes to West Cowes. It has some great rooms and some not so great, but definately lots of character and history.

Might see you in Salty's.
